For just this moment
Only a block away
The abuse of the night
Shall it hinder my way
Songs of remembrance
Strengthen my way
It’s in this moment
That I long to stay
Welcomed by the blameless
Led by a child
Hearts full of song
My heart stands still
My emotions captured
And I am arrested
Face to face
Transfixed by the song
Does your word live?
Is your name to be praised?
But for a moment
Jesus In me
Innocence reclaimed?
My heart sheltered from the pain
Self-determination a block away
My heart in tow
Displaced from the moment
Dare I go?
