BEER LAO

I was a bit shocked to find this beer in a neighbourhood store near us. Whenever I saw this beer and enjoyed it was when I was visiting Lao.

When I opened the tab and poured out the contents into my cup, I was thinking about the Laotian people who might work at the Beer Lao factory, I thought of where the water was from and the South East Asian climate which I first tasted it was like. 

Sitting in a humble guest house in Vang Vien or at night with my Lao friend in Vientiane sharing a few beers and his favourite snail shells for dinner, watching motorbikes and local atmosphere go passing our way.

I am not sure when I will re visit Lao again, but this beer brought me back for a while, until the last drop from my glass touched my lips and brought me back to reality.
